A promising sign that the environmental/green message is getting through to the masses:
As a frequent traveler, I often bemoan the fact (and trust me, I can bemoan!) that after a wash or two, the chunky bar of still very useful hotel soap is tossed away (never mind that most half-decent hotels lay out separate bars for the shower and the bathroom sink). What a monumental waste!
There are two solutions to this dilemma. The first is to shrink the soap to one-time-use size, a la the wafer-like "bars" one would find in old Holiday Inns or roadside motels. This, even to someone as compactly-sized as yours truly, is no solution.
The second is this--a full-sized bar, with a difference:
