Write a nasty post and make two new friends...
Within minutes of yesterday's nuclear missive, I heard from a very magnanimous and professional Mike Chapman with some major mea culpas ("Thanks, but better make 'em to your client," was my response. "She's the one who pays you.").
Not long after, Jeanne Bliss herself popped up in the inbox.
I ended up calling her, and we had a delightful lil' chat about everything from the pugnacious process of plugging books to my upcoming visit to Rock Camp in L.A.
Yeah, we all screw up from time to time. These days, it's how we respond that makes a difference.
Done right, the end result can be even better than had everything gone right in the first place. As Picasso said, "All art is merely recovery from the deviation of a straight line."
